The campground is on top of a mesa, with an elevation of about 6500
feet. It is a beautiful area, but the elevation is proving to be
too much to handle. It is a tough decision, but we must head for
lower ground (we are approximately one day's ride from reaching the
Grand Canyon). Most likely, it will take us several days of
driving to reach an elevation that will allow us to recover. The
high elevation of the mesas reaches across many of the Southwestern
states.
