This was not a fun area to be laying on your back, working over your
head, trying to repair the air-dryer system. Ed was kind enough
to give me a hand getting the repairs completed (Ed as in Ed and
Terry). We had three overnight shipments of parts from the
air-dryer manufacturer, and we also made three trips to Marathon for
tools and parts.
Note: I was never able to completely fix the air-dryer system, I
just got it functional. We still had "over pressure" failures all
the way home. We have scheduled to have the RV serviced by the
Newmar certified service shop on Dec 14, 2006. We will have the
air-dryer system fully repaired, and any other services that are
necessary done.
Update: 01/18/2007 - The RV service is finally completed.
They disassembled and rebuilt the air-dryer system two times, and could
not get it to work properly. They ended up by installing a new
air-dryer system. They also had to disassemble and repair the air
compressor (which takes special tools, that I do not have). I'm
glad that we didn't spend any more time trying to make the air-dryer
repairs perfect, as we most likely would have never succeeded.
